Competition Terms and Conditions

Nickelodeon UK Limited of 15-18 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1HU is the promoter of the competition (“Promoter”).

Entrants may enter the competition as directed by voting for their favourite ME TV contestant at www.nick.co.uk/metv every day from 22 October 2007 to 26th October 2007 between 10am and approximately 11.45am (the exact time each day may vary and will be as stated on-air during the programme Me TV), answering a question correctly and submitting their vote and answer online, together with their details as requested, by the Closing Date as set out below.

1. Closing Date: The closing date shall be approximately 11.45am (the exact time will be as stated on-air during the programme ME TV) on 26th October 2007.

2. Competition is open to UK and Eire residents excluding employees of the Promoter, relatives of employees of the Promoter or of its respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, its agents or any other person connected to the competition.

3. Age Restrictions: Entrants must be aged 15 or under to enter.

4. All entrants must obtain parental consent prior to entering competitions.

5. One entry per household per competition.

6. To give all entrants a chance of winning a prize, a maximum of one prize per household is permitted within a 4-week period.

7. Entrants must provide the details requested by the Promoter, which may include entrant’s name, date of birth, age, address (including postcode), telephone number and/or email address.

8. The winner will have answered the question correctly and will be the first entry randomly drawn after the closing date from all correct entries received. One winner only.

9. Costs to enter a competition via the internet may vary so please check with your network operator for current charges. Entrants should seek the permission of the person paying the bill before entering.

10. The judge's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

11. Prizes can only be sent to a UK and/or Eire address.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner and award the prize to another entrant In the event that :

(a) the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing that an entrant has contravened any term or condition of entry;

(b) a winner has changed address to one outside of the UK and/or Eire after the closing date;

(c) the Promoter is unable to contact the winner within ten minutes the closing date/time;

(d) the winner’s parents/guardians do not agree to these terms and conditions and/or do not wish their child to receive the prize; or

(e) the Promoter does not receive confirmation of the winner’s address and/or parental/guardian consent as may be requested within 14 days.

13. Winners will generally be notified either by email, telephone or post.

14. Subject to confirmation by Promoter of the winner’s address and parental/guardian consent as may be requested, the winner will generally receive the prize within six to eight weeks from the closing date.

15. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Incomplete, inaudible and/or illegible entries will be disqualified. The Promoter shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunications networks, internet access or otherwise preventing entry to any competition.

16. Prizes are as stated and are non-transferable. No cash alternatives will be offered. If due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter is unable to provide the stated prize(s), the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize(s). Prizes are subject to the additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier.

17. Where prizes include trips, travel will take place in accordance with the dates and any restrictions specified and unless otherwise stated must be taken within twelve months of the competition closing date, subject to availability and excluding public holidays. If the date of any trip or event is in school term-time, the winner must obtain the prior written consent of their head teacher and their parent/guardian for the winner’s absence from school. Unless informed otherwise, winners and any guests are advised to obtain their own travel insurance and must hold a valid passport.

18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any of its obligations to the winner (and/or any guests) under these Terms And Conditions if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including without limitation delays, changes, disruptions, cancellations, diversions or substitutions howsoever caused including without limitation, war, terrorist action or threatened terrorist action, strikes, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, fire, flood or natural catastrophes arising without limitation out of or in connection with:

(a) the activities of third party event organisers;

(b) any form of transportation (including but not limited to flights, trains, coaches, buses, ferries, taxis or cars); and/or

(c) by third parties providing accommodation included in the prize.

For the avoidance of doubt, the winner (and/or any guests and/or parents/guardians) shall be solely liable for any additional costs incurred as a result.

19. The Promoter shall not be liable to the winner and/or any guests and/or parents/guardians for any loss or damage howsoever caused (whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the competition and/or prize other than death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Promoter and/or the Promoters personnel and/or deceit or fraud by Promoter and/or Promoter’s personnel.

20. In consideration of the entrants’ participation in the Promoter’s programme and/or live continuity links as part of the competition and/or prize (where applicable), each entrant irrevocably agrees and consents to the Promoter, its successors, assignees and licensees, to:

(a) participate in such programme and/or live continuity links as directed by the Promoter and consents to the recording of the entrant as an individual and the entrant’s voice as part of the entrant’s performance that may be incorporated into programme and/or live continuity links, in whole or in part, in the Promoter’s sole discretion and the entrant accepts that Promoter is under no obligation to use such performance and/or materials;

(b) the exploitation of the programme and/or live continuity links, in whole or in part, (including the entrant’s performance) by any and all means and in all media and formats whether known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity including without limitation cable and satellite television and websites;

(c) the use and reproduction of the entrant’s performance in the programme and/or live continuity links and the recording of the entrant’s performance, voice, image or any part thereof by all means and in all media and formats whether known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity for the purposes of advertising, publicity or otherwise;

(d) waive and release the Promoter from any claim, action or demand arising out of or in connection with the programme and/or live continuity links.

21. By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge that they may be required to be used in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include without limitation the entrant’s name and/or likeness, voice, photographs and/or video footage of the entrant, biographical information provided by the entrants/winner and/or any statement made by them concerning the competition and/or the prize. Entrants agree that such elements may be used by the Promoter in any and all media in perpetuity throughout the world as the Promoter in its sole discretion sees fit.

22. Any personal information collected by the Promoter in connection with a competition will be used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be viewed at www.nick.co.uk/global/legal/privacy.aspx or can be obtained by writing to the Promoter either by email at letterbox@nick.co.uk or by post to the Promoter’s address marked for the attention of The Data Protection Officer. If entrants don’t want the Promoter to use their information in this way, entrants can tell the Promoter when entering the competition or at any time by writing to the Promoter as set out above.

23. A list of winners for each competition can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope together with details of which competition winners list you require to the Promoter within 30 days from the date of the closing date of such competition.

24. Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms And Conditions. Entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of all terms and conditions of the competition signed by their parent or guardian before receiving their prize.

25. These Terms And Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
